One Great Step

Ive been waiting for this moment for as long as I can remember. it still feels a little surreal. there, on that magnificent stage, in the eternal space filled with anticapted love, I witnessed — for the second time since Paramore back in second year of poly — one of my two favourite Korean groups perform live. unbelievable. the moment they came on stage, my ultimate feminine feels overflowed. I was stunned, to be quite honest, and I totally understood how all korean fangirls in the world felt in that claustrophic mentality within the stadium for the first five seconds. though I was actually seated in a spot right infront of stage center with a good friend/junior who is just as enthused about INFINITE as I am, I couldnt help but drown myself in the sounds from the lower floors as my mind blended in the haze of admiration.
pushing all negative impressions and judgements regarding stupid fangirls and fanboys aside, the concert was really pretty awesome. I need to exhaust my feels right here right now because I cannot keep this to myself. if I am not sharing my photos and videos, then I should at least alternatively paraphrase the moments.

Yes. I am that kind of fangirl. the supreme noona/unni kind of fangirl. the crowd totally ticked me off but that is totally besides the point.

1. The Stage Props
the stage was typically INFINITE-set. it might be similar for a lot of artistes, but I feel that this specific rectangular parameter, diamond-centered-front stage suits INFINITE perfectly. I cannot help but beam when I entered the stadium. seeing the stage set as it was, and the motion 3D graphic for its visual backdrop was marvellous. qiyin and I, being design kids, cant help but question the technique and method to portray that 3D effect. woohoo! the moshpits were lucky, and the premium seaters too (though they were all standing towards the stage lolol). the stages were all very colourful, especially for Nothing's Over and Yadong's stage of Victorious + Special Girl. Amazeballs. the lightings were incredible. rarely did it glare me but it did blind qiyin a couple of times HAHA the confettis and the fireworks were really pretty too, and executed at the right times, I feel. the confetti for the final song totally hit the spot, and it lingered on for a very long time. it went on and on and on and it haunts... which is good. very little bad implications actually, if any HAHAHAHAHA :3

2. The Band, Dance Crew
the boys definitely performed their sets live. you can hear their breathing after each number and it is such a relief to know. this, and the fact that you have a drumset at the corner that beats every beat in replacement to the synths and modifications in their songs. the distinct mellow harmony of the acoustic guitar and keyboard gave it a magical feeling. and then the constant electric solo.. OH MY FEELS. BTD's ending solo was madness+sex! the band definitely lived to tell the tunes well, almost unplugged, and shined as well with the boys.
the dance crew, although I paid almost no attention, were a group of 6 korean cuties. from what I heard, they are really cute. and ye, I could tell since they abused my Kenyan Prince on stage ^///^ they may be tired, but they really had a lot of fun. it showed. plus! one or two of the boys actually fanserviced fanphone selcas. that is quite cool. HAHAHA these crucial supports for my boys are as dorky as them. HAHAHA

3. The Boys
Kim Sunggyu. Jang Dongwoo. Nam Woohyun. Lee Howon. Lee Sungyeol. Kim Myungsoo. Lee Sungjong.
it is never easy to learn and study a foreign language, especially when your nations takes pride in its own persoanl language. koreans never really did learn foreign languages unless they set foot in foreign land. back in the past, a few years back, even the international English language was a luxury. when a korean is able to even respond in simple English terms, that person is a diamond to be kept. now, when kpop is already international, the study/practice of the English language seems to be drilled into their livelihood(s). it may not be much, but what touched and amazed me the most was the utmost effort for them to bring us a korean concert that was narrated entirely in english on their own! greetings, explanations, commentaries, speeches, almost everything was done in English. I think I share a part of many international Inspirits' hearts by saying that we are proud of the boys for coming so far as to memorize and deliver themselves well in English. even though there were bits of Kongrish, it was brilliant. Dongwoo and Sunggyu's acute anunciation took me by surprise. I was caught in a storm of beaming emotion hearing their speeches. Hoya, the most talkative of them all, wasnt lacking incredibly behind with his English despite the pronunciation setbacks derived from his Busan prominence. What was jarring to me was my priority man, Woohyun/Namstar. he wasnt his usual runnermouth, and it is apparent when he delivered his closing speech in korean. he gives his best and he doesnt wasnt to disappoint, so I understood his feelings — no hardworking person would deliver and boast about something that they feel is incomplete or imperfect. until the day namstar feels better with his english, we wont be hearing him speak lengthy English sentences.
their performance was nothing short of amazing either. everyone of us, Im sure, understand that our boys are quite exhausted. it's their first World Tour Leg. the exhaustion from the burden, the expectations, the tension, the anxiety, the travel, everything they can feel before and during the entire process/duration of the World Tour drains them immensely. yet, their dance moves were always sharp, ala military precision, and they never missed a beat. our main vocals definitely stood out in my eyes and ears (because I am vocal bias) and I look out for it to the extent of covering my ears just to make sure they were breathing the choruses and verses correctly. I was really satisfied watching and listening to gyunim's performances. he might be our beloved vitamin-powered grandpa, but his dedication are top class. namstar was no exception but what else can I boast about our bolmae man? he is perfect HAHAHA the rappers really enjoyed themselves. spitting out every line, every part, delivering brilliantly. our yadong couple's stage was one of the main highlights in my books. they can rap, dance and even sing! heck, hoya raps and kenyan flips out the variety tables! this duo is unstoppable! the vocalists were just as stunning too. sungjong was serious enough to be mistaken as leader. he showed his lethargy the most, but he executed his parts pretty well. even his english was adorable it made me hop on my seat like an infatuated cupid bunny!
myungyeol happened. myongjong too. these were shown on the big screens too! yadong, woogyu, 2WOO too, and I couldnt stop shrieking. those in the mosh and the premium seats fences were lucky enough to catch their hands, their gifts, their sweats and their selcas in their personal phones. when it comes to fanservice though, the idol world must start its attempt to overthrow our namstar. he gave a ring and a flower to a lucky fangirl, and he stroked her hair. I wanted to kill myself but I realized its okay because expectationsxreality. T_T it was golden, their interaction and everything. they never forget to cover all grounds of the fans for as long as the stage can cover/reach. it was amazing to see and lucky fans were just really lucky they have to thank the kpop heavens!!!
the part that made me in the brink of tears was the closing speeches. gyunim's speech was the most impressive. Im pretty sure he improvised some parts. it was so sincere, and his eyes (whatever thats there) were solid and shiny. his solo performance was one of the best stages that night [but no fancams can do justice enough to the band and his vocals hurr]. you can totally see in his body stance, his face, his aura.. he loved everything; what he did, what is done, what he will continue doing, and what he has achieved - happiness through passion and INSPIRITS. their hearts were on stage, and they were always so cheery, smiley and myungsoo's smirks were a killer, even for me who is quite the L-hater HAHAHA

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I still feel dazed, almost in a dreamlike state. to witness a bias group from far has left me in shambles. imagine if I was in the moshpit, all my enthusiasm overflowing, my nosebleed running me dry. what if I had been the girl namstar approached for the proposal? I might not make it out of the concert alive. if I do return alive, then my bladder might not have made it. it was lovely to witness their gifted abilities to perform live so flawlessly. I would return for more, but my boys need their rest. they have done their best and they are so lovable. Im gonna do my best as their best fan and support them with whatever I can and whatever Im willing to KEKEKE I'll leave you with some of the fancam highlights of the concert I've mentioned. credits go to the respective video owners.

I N F I N I T E ♥

Can U Smile ♥

my favourite song in their concert version. they dropped the bass at the rap bridge, and I went nuts. dongwoo killed it with so much kenyan swag I couldnt maintain!

YADONG Couple Stage ♥

so colourful, I felt so fluffy everywhere. their moves killed, and all these rainbow splatters covered our eyes and hearts. we were blinded by yadong moments OHO

??? The Chaser ♥

definitely the best closure any inspirit can ever ask for. to close an awesome concert with their best song, truly, save the best for last. ^^

INFINITE. YOU BABIES COLOUR MY LIFE. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Lyrical Assassin

I wish I was normal. Normal enough to pass as sane and stable, not some normal about-to-erupt-hot-steams-of-depression stable. Heck, even when I say Im depressed, I dont actually mean that, because when youre depressed you tend to be suicidal. Im not suicidal. Im just in too much pain from all the nagging in my head that I can evaporate from it. And die. 's been a long time since I last felt like down-lika-sewer-prisoner.

Some things.. I have to be transparent about. And most of the time, they're not about the right thing.
Man, I think it's safe now. We wait two more days, and then I'll be really alright, k? Gotta thank Epik High man, they've kept me sane. The dropbeats are sick, and I feel my head — and heart — throbbing with it. I think it just about exploded. Some lyrical assassin killed me, you see. That Lyrical Assassin's name come in threes — Tablo, Mithra, Tukutz. They've been putting me to sleep lately, and I love them dearly, because they are INFINITE's fathers too.

So you see, the first thing I did when I woke up today was to write about this. About them, about you. I will lay in peace, and I hope you've been doing good. Let go of everything but one: please, never stop calling my name.
