A Nightly Poem for a Nightly Walk

Upon the steps that descends
six candles laid to rest
dust and dirt swamp the floor
creaking sounds from the door
to assist the lost loves
be released from this world.

Approach the two shadows
beware of unholy howls
bask your voice in unison
falter, crumble and burn
the shadows will fight all the way
but lights will always prevail.

#

Enchanted in doubles and mirrors
the ground and sky clearly towers
one will not leave the other
the other irreplaceable by another

But light and dark are meant to be
two different, separate entity
bask our voice in unison
so falter, crumble and burn
release the intertwine you hold
enlighten the burdens, the lights unfold.

#

Do you owe a life
because yours was viced?
to hover over for so long
dont you hear the sound of that horn?

your rule was quite subdued
by the ones who took over you
bask our voice in unison
so falter, crumble and burn
your strings no longer attached
enlighten the burdens, the lights caress.
